 ILICAT 2023 Exam Pattern

Candidates who are preparing for the Indian Law Institute entrance test should note that the examination body has issued guidelines related to the ILICAT 2023 Exam Pattern. Hence, it is advised for the aspirants to go through the following exam pattern specification in advance to ace the test.

The ILICAT 2023 exam has established a fixed marking scheme to evaluate the answer sheet of the appearing candidates. As the ILICAT question paper contains both objective and subjective questions like essay writing. Candidates must ensure to be aware of the ILICAT 2023 exam marking scheme mentioned below to understand the examination pattern a little better:

• The objective-type questions of the examination will carry 1 mark, to be awarded for correctly attempted questions.
• If any question is attempted incorrectly, then there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer from the total obtained marks.
• The subjective type questions of the ILICAT exam will carry 10 marks for each question. 
• There is no negative deduction as per the ILICAT marking scheme for the subjective questions. Candidates will be allotted marks as per the quality of their essay on the given subject type question. 

ILICAT 2023 Exam Sectionwise Weightage 

The ILICAT 2023 exam pattern focuses on asking questions from General English, General Knowledge, Legal aptitude and Legal aspects. A section-wise weightage of the ILICAT 2023 exam pattern is mentioned in the table given below. ILICAT 2023 Viva-Voice Pattern

After becoming familiar with the three sections of the ILICAT 2023 exam pattern, candidates need to be familiar with the fourth part of the examination. The ILICAT 2023 exam concludes after the completion of ILICAT Viva-voice as the final round of the examination.  

Check the following details relevant to the ILICAT 2023 Viva-Voice Pattern for a clear understanding of the ILICAT exam pattern.

• Candidates who would have cleared the ILICAT written examination would be called for the Viva voice test as a part of the admission process.
• The minimum qualifying mark for the ILICAT 2023 Viva-Voice is 180 marks, to be obtained in the written test.
• The institute will invite applicants on the campus of the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi to appear for the viva round.
• The ILCAT 2023 Viva-voice carries 20 marks in total. 

Through conducting a verbal examination of the candidates, the institute will access the communication skills and presence of mind of the aspiring candidates. Based on the performance of the aspirants, the university will invite the shortlisted candidates for admission to their applied law programme.
