About CMC Vellore
Christian Medical College, abbreviated as CMC Vellore is a private research institute which is affiliated with the Dr MGR Medical University, Tamil Nadu. AT CMC Vellore, students are offered 30 speciality courses & various postdoctoral fellowship programs including Bioethics, Biostatistics, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, Medical Physics, Public Health, and MBA in Hospital & Health Systems Management.
CMC Vellore offers around 20 UG degrees, 13 PG degrees, 10 Diploma courses and 3 fellowship programs under Allied Health Sciences. - B.Sc (Nursing) – Candidates must possess a 10+2 certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. Your 10+2 score must be 45%.
- B.Sc – Candidates must have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects and with at least a 50% score.
- BPT/ BOT/ B.Sc/ BPO – candidates must have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as their compulsory subjects.
*Note – The minimum age limit for the CMC Vellore entrance exam 2023 is 17 years (as of 31st Dec 2023)
Eligibility Criteria For PG Courses
The postgraduate courses offered under the CMC Vellore entrance examination are M.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Bioethics, M.Sc Epidemiology, M.Sc Biostatistics, MD/ MS courses (Bioengineering) and others. The eligibility criteria for these postgraduate courses are mentioned below.
- MD/ MS – Candidates must have completed their MBBS and a Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship from a recognised institution.
- M.S. (Bioengineering) – Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Science or any other equivalent subject.
- M.Sc Epidemiology – candidates must have any of the following degrees: MPharm, BDS/ Anatomy/ Statistics/ Biostatistics/ M.Sc in Nursing/ Pharmacology or any other medical-related degrees.
- M.Sc Biostatistics – candidates must possess a B.Sc Statistics degree as the main branch from a recognised university.
- M.Sc Nursing – Candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) with a minimum score of 55% from any recognised university.
- M.Sc Medical Physics – Candidates must have completed the Bachelor’s in Science (Physics) with Maths as an additional subject.
- M.Sc Bioethics – candidates must have completed any of the following degrees; MSc (Nursing)/ MOT/ BDS/ MPT Physiotherapy/ MBBS/ AYUSH Bachelor’s degree.
- Master of Hospital Administration (MHA) – candidates must have completed any of the following degrees; B. Tech Biotechnology/ B. E. Biomedical Engineering/ BDS/ BNYS/ BUMS/ Bachelor of Siddha Medical & Surgery/ MBBS/ B.Sc Allied Health Sciences.
- Master of Physiotherapy (Orthopedics) – candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
