ILI CAT Score vs Percentile

The ILI CAT examination is conducted by the Indian Law Institute, Delhi to enrol candidates for the Master of law course (LLM).  The Indian Law Institute will soon release the notification of ILI CAT 2023, which will be available online on the official website of this institution. Candidates who will crack the ILI CAT exam, Viva-voce and Presentation will be shortlisted for the final admission stage. Candidates who will appear for the ILICAT 2023 exam will get scores based on the number of questions they got right in the exam and their overall rank will determine the percentile among all the candidates who had appeared in the ILI CAT 2023 exam.

ILI CAT Score vs Percentile

The ILI CAT is a very competitive exam, for which students from all academic backgrounds come to pursue their Master in Law course. The ILI CAT exam will consist of 144 questions, which will contain a total of 180 marks. Out of the total 144, 140 questions will be objective type questions (MCQs) and the rest 4 will be descriptive type questions. Candidates will be given scores based on the answers they have marked in their response sheet. The 4 descriptive type questions will contain a total of 40 marks. 

The ILI CAT Percentile will be calculated from the overall rank secured by the candidate. Here is a table which highlights all the differences between ILI CAT Score and ILI CAT Percentile.

The ILI CAT score will be calculated from the marks secured by the candidate in the ILI CAT entrance exam.The ILI CAT Percentile will be calculated on the basis of the final rank secured by the candidate out of the total number of candidates who had appeared in the exam.
Candidates will be given a +1 mark for each correct answer they’ve marked out of the 140 MCQs, and the remaining 4 descriptive types will contain 10 marks each.If any candidate has secured a 25th rank out of the total 1000 candidates which had appeared in the entrance exam, it means 24 candidates have secured a better rank from this 25th one.
The ILI CAT score calculation will also contain negative markings. For each wrong answer marked by any candidate in the 140 MCQs, a 0.25 mark will be deducted from the candidate’s final score.A candidate securing 25th rank out of 1000 candidates also means that this 25th candidate has ranked ahead of the rest 975 candidates.
