HPU MAT Reservation Criteria: Himachal Pradesh University Business School (HPUBS) conducts the HPU MAT for admission to its MBA programs. HPUBS is a NAAC-accredited ‘A’ grade university and offers many UG and PG courses. The HPU MAT 2023 application forms will be released tentatively in the first week of April, the exam is expected to be held in June. HPU MAT reservation criteria provide equal opportunities to students from underrepresented and socio-economically weaker sections.

HPU MAT Reservation Criteria 2023
The HPU MAT reservation criteria remain the same every year. The institutes follow the reservation criteria prescribed by the Government of India for all public universities.
Reservations are offered to members of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, persons with disabilities, economically weaker sections of society, and single girl child. There are three ways in which the reservation is provided to the candidates.
- Relaxation in Application Fee: Candidates in the reserved category must pay INR 500 for the HPU MAT application form. Whereas, general category candidates have to pay 1000/-INR for the application.
- Relaxation in Cutoff: Candidates under the reservation category are also provided with a relaxation in the minimum marks for the qualifying examination and the HPU MAT Cutoff. In the qualifying examination, all candidates must have a minimum of 50%, but candidates from reserved categories qualify with 45% marks in the final year.
- Reservation of Seats: Some seats will be reserved for the reserved category. In case a seat is left vacant in one round of admission, the institutes release another merit list to invite students from the waiting list.

Candidates in the reserved categories are offered relaxation in the HPU MAT cutoff as well. The HPU MAT 2023 cut-off will be released after the declaration of results. However, we have mentioned the previous year’s HPU MAT cut-off for reserved categories in the table below:
