All India Law Entrance Test Post Graduation (AILET PG) is conducted by National Law University (NLU) Delhi to admit students to the LLM program, one year course, of the university. Applicants of this entrance examination need to prepare themselves for English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Law Subjects. AILET PG Law syllabus includes numerous topics from undergraduate Law programmes.

AILET PG Exam Pattern

AILET PG or LLM Admission Test of NLU Delhi is a 90 minutes exam, which contains 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and 10 Descriptive Questions. Candidates are required to answer all MCQs and 2 Descriptive Questions. MCQs of Section A carry one mark for every correct answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. Descriptive Questions of Section B carry 25 marks each.

AILET PG Eligibility

Citizens of different nationalities can be admitted to the LLM program of NLU Delhi. Indians, Foreign Nationals, and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) can apply on the admission portal of the university to enter the LLM course, however, Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET PG. OCI/PIO candidates can apply under the Foreign Nationals category or the Indian National category. If they choose the latter, they are required to appear for AILET PG. 

The eligibility criteria for AILET PG are as follows:

  • Students must have passed LLB or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% (for General/OBC/EWS/Kashmiri Migrants) and 45% for SC/ST and PwDs. The degree should be from a recognized university.
  • Candidates appearing for the final exam of LLB or an equivalent degree program can also appear for AILET PG. Students with a compartment in their undergraduate law courses are not eligible for admission to NLU LLM one-year program.
