- The original text came into effect on the 26th of January 1950 had 395 Articles divided into 22 Parts and 8 Schedules.
- We celebrate the day that the Indian Constitution came into effect each year as Republic Day.
- The number of Articles in our Constitution from that day has gone up to 448 with about 100 Amendments to this document.
- The Constitution establishes the main organs of Government, i.e. Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary and defines their powers and responsibilities.

Who Wrote the Indian Constitution?
The Indian Constitution was framed under the watch of the Constituent Assembly of India which was established by the members of the provincial assemblies elected by the Indian citizen.
- The first President of the Constituent Assembly was Dr Sachidanand Sinha.
- But if you ask who wrote the constitution of India then Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar who was the Chairman of its Drafting Committee was known to be the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution.

Who Wrote the Constitution of India by Hand?
Prem Behari Narain Raizada was the calligrapher who wrote the Constitution of India.
- The original text was handwritten by him where he used a flowing italic style.
- Later, this original text was decorated and beautified by artists from Shantiniketan which included Beohar Rammanohar Sinha and Nand Lal Bose.
The calligrapher of the Hindi version of the original text was carried out by Vasant Krishnan Vaidya. While it was decorated and illuminated by Nand Lal Bose.
