Successful Landing of Chandrayaan-3

As per the information given by the ISRO, Department of Space, Chandrayaan-3 has successfully landed on the south pole of the moon. After 40 days of journey from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Chandrayaan-3 reaches the lunar south pole. This event has been a proud moment for the country as it has made India, the only country to reach the south pole of the moon. Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon on 23 August 2023 at 6:04 PM (IST).

Chandrayaan-3 Landing

ISRO revealed they are ready to begin the Automatic Landing Sequence (ALS). their entire team is just waiting for the Lander Module (LM) of the Chandrayaan-3 to reach the designated point on the moon’s surface. As per their estimate, the Lander would touch the moon’s surface at around 5:44 PM (IST). 

As soon as they receive the ALS command, the Lander Module activates the engines for powered descent. 

The operating team at ISRO handling the Chandrayaan-3 mission would confirm the sequential execution of commands and let the world know about the LIVE updates of Chandrayaan-3.
