UNESCO Full Form

The full form of UNESCO is United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. It was formed in 1945 through global collaboration to foster peace through education, culture, and science. This international organisation is dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. It has 93 member countries and 11 associate members. The organisation has also partnered with non-governmental organisations, inter-governmental bodies, and other private stakeholders to transform the education sector.

  • The United Nations Economic and Social Council is the parent body of UNESCO.

  • It awards 22 grants in the field of culture, research, education, and peace.
