The First Rajya Sabha Speaker of India was Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are the two houses of the Parliament of India. Moreover, both Houses have a chairman who is responsible for looking after the respective houses. The Vice President of India is the ex-officio Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
