One of the esteemed colleges, IIT Guwahati (Indian Institute of Technology), had earlier opened its doors this year for the Summer Internship Programme 2024. This was an opportunity for all the computer science and engineering students to get some hands-on experience. IIT Guwahati summer internship 2024 is for undergraduates and graduate students in various fields, including science and engineering.
It provides students with hands-on experience with industry procedures during the internship phase. IIT Guwahati, established in 1994, is the sixth member of the IIT group. Currently, the institution deals with 11 different departments with all major engineering, science, and humanities. It offers BTech, BDes, MA, MSc, MTech, and Ph.D. programmes.
The two-month summer internship has been designed for students in such a way that they get more aware of the subject and gather more interest in high-quality research with many other young minds via mini-projects undertaken by them.

Eligibility Criteria for IIT Guwahati Summer Internship
A candidate needs to be eligible for the IIT Guwahati Summer Internship programme. The eligibility criteria are simple, and any Indian pursuing B.Tech. can apply for this internship. Mentioned below are the eligibility criteria-
- One needs to be Indian to apply for Ithe IITGuwahati Summer Internship 2024.
- No minimum CGPA is required to apply.
- Students in the 3rd year or 6th semester of the B.Tech./B.E. Computer Science programme can apply for the internship.
Students need to choose a research supervisor from their respective departments. However, nearly 3 candidates can only be selected under one supervisor. IIT Guwahati Faculty will only handle the selection process. No application or internship fees are required for the summer internship. Mess and accommodation will be managed by the IIT Guwahati at a very nominal price.
