  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

The pay scale of an ASO in MEA ranges from INR 44,900 to INR 14,2400 with grade pay of INR 4600 in addition to permissible allowances by the Central Govt. As per the 7th pay commission, the ASO in MEA would get a salary of around INR 66,000/- pm initially. Let’s take a look below:
