History, Affiliations and Rankings
Vistula University is a private university in Warsaw in Poland. It was established in 1992 under the name of Insurance and Banking. Vistula University provides education for the labour market closely cooperating with business and international organizations. It offers numerous courses in Bachelor’s, Master’s degree programs, Double Diplomas, Engineering Studies, PhD and Postgraduate programs. The Faculty of Business and International Relations of Vistula University has the international CEEMAN IQA accreditation – it is one of the most prestigious and respected international accreditations in the field of managerial education. This accreditation confirms that Vistula University meets the requirements for efficient operation, as well as high-quality education and research. Vistula University is among the few universities in Poland that have the full scope of ACCA accreditation, and the ’Project management in the organisation’ programme in the field of Management has accreditation from the PMI Global Accreditation Centre for Project Management Education Programmes (GAC). Vistula University conducts all academic programmes in Polish and English language. Vistula University secured 4th rank amongst all the polish universities in the Graduate 2021 labour market category. According to the QS and THE Ranking, Vistula University is ranked #301-350 and #251-300 in EECA University Rankings in the year 2019.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
Vistula University derives from the tradition and experience of four academic institutions: the University of Insurance and Banking (original name of Vistula University), the Higher School of Economics and Information, the European Academy of Arts and the School of Management joined in 2012-2015. The academy of Aleksander Gieysztor in Pu?tusk, a branch of the Vistula University has a rich history and an extraordinary heritage. It is a successor of the College of Humanities – thriving and educating at the high-level academic centre in a small city. Vistula School of Hospitality (formerly Warsaw School of Tourism and Hospitality Management) was also created by merging a few institutions. Vistula University offers numerous courses for bachelor's, master's, double diplomas and other programs. The university's speciality is to provide practical training to all the students in relevant fields like Engineering, Business, Finance, Tourism, Communications, International Relations, Health Science Banking, Economics, Journalism, Hotel Management and many more. It offers programs both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Polish and English.
Accomplishments and Alumni
According to the QS and THE Ranking, Vistula University is ranked #301-350 and #251-300 in EECA University Rankings in the year 2019. Mieczyslaw Or?owicz’s Higher School of Tourism and Recreation in Warsaw part of Vistula School of Hospitality received an honorary award from the Polish Chamber of Tourism “Globus 98” for achievement in the tourist education faculty in Poland. It has also been awarded the “Medal of Merit for Tourism”.According to the Economic Successes of Graduate developed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Poland, the alumni of Vistula University are among the top-earning graduates from all universities in Poland. Vistula University has a diverse pool of alumni coming from different walks of life like creative art, literature, politics, business, defence etc.

Vistula University offers a diverse learning environment to its students. It caters to over 5000 students from 85 countries. As a part of the Erasmus program, lecturers come from all continents and polish students can also study in other 40 countries.
