Earlier called Kingston Polytechnic, the university is located in the heart and soul of London, in the UK, and was established in 1899. In the early years of its operations, Kingston University was providing courses related to Chemistry, Construction, Architecture, Nursing, Fashion Designing, and clay modeling. In 1992, it was renamed Kingston University. Kingston University has affiliations with the Association of MBAs, ACU, University Alliance, European University Association (EUA), and Universities UK.
