Earlier called Kingston Polytechnic, the university is located in the heart and soul of London, in the UK, and was established in 1899. In the early years of its operations, Kingston University was providing courses related to Chemistry, Construction, Architecture, Nursing, Fashion Designing, and clay modeling. In 1992, it was renamed Kingston University. Kingston University has affiliations with the Association of MBAs, ACU, University Alliance, European University Association (EUA), and Universities UK. As per Times Higher Education, the university has been ranked between #801 - 1000 in 2022 and 45th in the Guardian University Guide 2022. 

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

It has several campuses in and around Kingston, UK. It also has a campus at Friars Avenue, London, and an additional campus at Crammer Terrace, London. The Penrhyn Road Campus, the Kingston Hill Campus, the Kingston School of Art in Knight's Park, and the Roehampton Vale Campus are connected by the University's free bus service too. The university is ever since famous for its different specialized programs (UG, PG, research, short courses, certification programs, etc.) in different fields of study such as Arts, Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Engineering, IT, Law, Business, Music, Fashion Designing, Health, social care and a lot more.

In 2020, the Guardian University Guide has included Kingston in the top 50 universities and in the top 200 universities as per Times Higher Education. The university has a list of notable alumni. It includes Ben Barnes (Actor), Yoganathan Ratheesan (Founder, Lebara Group), Dame Glenda Bailey (Editor-in-Chief, Harper’s Bazaar), Jasper Morrison (Product Designer), Asha Philip (International Athlete), etc.
