The Eindhoven University of Technology is a public technical university in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. When the Dutch government established the Technische Hogeschool Eindhoven (THE) on June 23, 1956, as the Eindhoven University of Technology, it became the second institute of its sort in the Netherlands, with the Delft University of Technology being the first. It publishes the Q.S. World University Rankings every year. The Q.S. rating, which is considered one of the three most widely read university rankings globally, is approved by the International Ranking Expert Group (IREG).
