History, Affiliations and Rankings
Established in 1971, the EBS University of Business and Law was previously known as the University of Applied Sciences by Klaus Evard. Later, the institution's name was changed to European Business School. In1989, it was awarded the status of higher education institute. In 1993, EBS was awarded the right to award doctoral programs. In 2010, the EBS Law School was established as another institute alongside the EBS Business School. EBS University of Business and Law has affiliations with FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation), and the German Council of Science and Humanities. EBS University of Business and Law ranks #56 in World in Masters of Finance by the QS.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
The EBS University of Business and Law has three campuses for teaching, research, and administration uses. The two biggest campuses are situated in Wiesbaden and Oestrich-Winkel. The Wiesbaden campus has the EBS Law School, while the Reichartshausen campus situated at the Oestrich-Winkel campus has the EBS Business School. The EBS University of Business and Law provides programs at the bachelor's and master's levels. The EBS Business School provides traditional German business and economics programs as well as specialized postgraduate programs in Management, Finance, and other areas. The EBS Law School provides programs leading to the German State Examination in jurisprudence. Both faculties also provide Ph.D. programs.
Accomplishments and Alumni
All programs at EBS University of Business and Law are accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA). Since 2012, EBS University of Business and Law has received accreditation from the German Council of Science and Humanities. EBS University of Economics and Law is partnered with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The notable alumni of the institute are Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein, CEO of LGT Group, Philipp Schindler, Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer at Google, and Jochen Zeitz, CEO of Puma.

EBS University of Business and Law values diversity in all its dimensions. The University has more than 2,200 student enrolments with 70 faculties on the campus. They have students from all over the world on the campus. The recruiters on the campus include Amazon, Adidas, Mercedes Bank, and puma.
