The USSR government founded Altai State Medical University in 1954, formerly known as Altai Medical Institution. By Russian Health Ministry's decision, Altai State Medical University was only renamed in 1954. The state government has accredited all of the public university's courses, and these courses also have certificates of accreditation. The facility is also regarded as the main healthcare facility, a federal high-tech care facility, and a speciality medical facility.The position of Altai State University (ASU) in the QS Global World Rankings 2021 is 571ā580.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
The university is situated in Barnaul, the administrative centre of Altai Krai, and has an area of around 986,000 square meters, with a building area of over 238,000 square meters. Modern amenities are available in the university's classrooms, including a large library with 3,30,000 copies of journals, medical dissertations, and other materials, sports facilities, on-campus housing options, reading rooms, and more. The main fields of study at the Altai State Medical University are general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, economics, management, stomatology, law, and engineering. Seven faculties and more than 60 departments work together to operate the same.
