- Be an international student (Australian or New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents are not eligible).

How to Apply for the Swinburne International Excellence Scholarship 2026?
No separate application is required for this scholarship. When you apply to begin an eligible course for the first time in 2025 or 2026 at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus, you are automatically considered for the international scholarship based on your previous academic performance.
If your application for admission is successful, your letter of offer will also indicate whether you have been awarded the scholarship. Applicants who are not selected for the scholarship will not receive a separate notification.
If you wish to apply for Swinburne’s general scholarships, a separate application must be submitted for those awards.
