The US visa application appointments will start next week in mid-May. The US consulate in Hyderabad announced last month that the visa appointments will likely begin in mid-May. The list of prohibited items was also released, for the applicants by the US Consulate Nanakramguda facility.
Firstly, all the students must prepare themselves before the release of the student visa appointment slots. So, all the necessary documents must include the relevant information required. Also, the applicants must also be aware of the prohibited items at the US Consulate in Hyderabad.
Prohibited Items at the US Consulate in Hyderabad
The US Consulate, Hyderabad has releases detailing the prohibited items at its Nanakramguda facility. Moreover, several items will not be allowed and must not be taken inside the US Consulate. So, all visitors, including US citizens, need to undergo security screening on their arrival.

The items which you should not carry to the US Consulate are as follows. The applicants must not carry these items.
- Sharp Objects
- Weapons
- Long Handled Umbrella
- Sealed envelopes or packages
- Food or drink items
- Bags including purses, travel bags, backpacks, briefcases and suitcases (Unsealed plastic bags, small cloth bags, and zip folders )
- Battery-operated or electronic devices
- Cell phones
- Powders of any kind, including religious-related powders or spices.
- Cosmetics
For your information, visitors who are present at the US Consulate for their Student Visa appointments must carry original government-issued IDs. Also, the authorities will not accept the photocopy of the identity. Moreover, the visitors for the US Student Visa must ensure that their names are matching on their appointment.
