Eligibility Criteria for the Program

Before applying for the course students must check the eligibility criteria for the program.

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery. They must be a qualified medical doctor with full unrestricted registration with the General Medical Council, or its equivalent in their country (State Medical Council in the case of India).
  •  Applicants should possess a minimum of one year of work experience as a qualified and registered doctor before enrolling in the program. 
  • Candidates must provide a copy of their medical license and demonstrate online verification if applicable.

Applicants will also be required to submit a brief personal statement outlining their qualifications, experience, motivations for joining the course, and their intended use of the degree upon completion. Candidates must have a good score on any of these tests.

  • A minimum score of 6.5 in IELTS (with no less than 6.0 in all components)
  • 62 in the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic (with no less than 59 in any element), or 
  • 90 in TOEFL-IBT (with a minimum of 21 in all four components).

Course Curriculum of the Program

The curriculum features distance learning, supplemented by two in-person residential weeks that include practical learning and assessments. The first optional residential week will focus on sports science in Bath. The second optional residential week will concentrate on clinical aspects.

Students will also participate in seminars, tutorials, and workshops as part of their learning process. Additionally, research projects are mandatory towards the end of the course, allowing students to design and conduct independent research. The assessment methods will include coursework, essays, seminars, and written examinations.
