Study in UK:  2 New International Scholarships to Apply this Month

UCL and the Imperial College London, the two best UK universities are launching new scholarships for International students, The scholarships are specially catered towards Indian students who want to study in the UK. Therefore, postgraduate students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for these scholarships before the deadline. The benefits of the scholarships vary depending on the scholarship type. UCL ranks 9th in the World, and Imperial College London ranks 6th (QS World Ranking 2024). Hence, these are excellent universities to pursue a postgraduate program. 

UCL India Excellence Scholarship 

The UCL India Excellence scholarship is available to Indian students wanting to study a postgraduate program in the UK. Students who are permanent residents of India, hold a BA degree from an institution coming under the top 100 NIRF Ranking, possess a grade-point average equivalent to a UK first-class degree, and have sufficient funds to study in the UK are eligible to apply. The scholarship benefit is an amount of £5,000 for 1 year. The deadline for the scholarship is  29 February 2024. 

India Future Leaders Scholarship at Imperial College London 

On the other hand, Imperial College London is launching Indian Future Leaders Scholarships for Indian students. The scholarship is for Indian graduates to pursue postgraduate and master’s research degrees in 2024. Students domiciled in India, meeting the academic requirements, and wanting to commence studies by the start of the UK academic year are eligible to apply. 

The benefit is an amount of £10,000 per student. However, the scholarship is only available to students who have received an offer letter to study a one-year full-time MSc or MRes in specific faculties by 11 May 2024. Each university faculty will nominate eligible students. Therefore, a separate application form is not necessary.  The successful nominees will be notified by 30 June 2024.
