The University of Limerick (UL) offers several merit-based scholarships to non-EU students. These scholarships are mainly faculty-based scholarships for the academic year 2024. Most of these scholarships do not require any application. Those who are accepted into the course of study are automatically taken into consideration. The selected students will receive the scholarship at the same time as the offer letter decision. However, the scholarship benefits and eligibility criteria can vary. The University of Limerick ranks 426 in the world (QS World Rankings 2024). Therefore, it is an excellent university to study in Ireland.
Faculty of Science and Engineering Scholarships
The UL Faculty of Science and Engineering scholarship is available to non-EU students. The scholarship is only available for the academic year 2024-25. The benefit is an amount of €2,000 per year as a tuition fee reduction.
The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Scholarships are available for the academic year 2024-25. These scholarships are also available to non-EU students. The benefit is an amount of €2,000 per year towards tuition fees. Moreover, the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance courses are included in the scholarship.
Kemmy Business School Scholarships
The Kemmy Business School scholarship offers an amount of €2,500 per year towards tuition fees. However, the scholarships are only available to students enrolling in 2024-25. Meritorious non-EU students are eligible for the award.
Education and Health Science Scholarships
The Education and Health Science Scholarships, intended for meritorious non-EU students, offer opportunities to undergraduate students for the EHS BSc in Nursing Scholarship. This scholarship, worth €2,000, is available to all students within this category. Similarly, master’s students qualify for a Master’s Degree Scholarship also valued at €2,000. However, only students from eligible programmes can apply. For example, MSc in Sports Performance, and MA in Psychology.
UL Progression Scholarship
The UL Progression Scholarship is available to Non EU tuition fees students who have completed a 4 year BA programme at the university. This scholarship is given when such a student wants to progress to a Master’s degree at UL. The scholarship benefit is a tuition fee discount of 50%. However, students enrolling in MSc Sustainable Resource Management are not eligible.
