Study in China: Yenching Academy of Perking University Fully Funded Scholarship 2024-25 Available to International Students

The Yenching Academy of Perking University is offering fully funded scholarships. A total of 120 scholarships are available annually to both Chinese mainland and international students. The aim of the scholarship is to assist students to live and learn together in China. In fact, 80% of the student body at the academy consists of international students.

The fully funded scholarships are available to students who have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Moreover, students who have enrolled in a bachelor’s program and are graduating before the end of August are also eligible. The scholarship application process started on 15, August, 2023. The deadline for the same is 3 December 2023 (12:00 noon Beijing time).

Every scholarship has an eligibility criteria that a student must meet. The Yenching Academy of Perking University fully funded scholarship eligibility criteria are as follows. 

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. However, students enrolled in a Bachelor’s program on track to graduate by 31st August 2024 are eligible
• The international student must possess an excellent academic record and must demonstrate a strong interest in the interdisciplinary study of China
• Additionally, the student must show evidence of English proficiency skills
• Moreover, the student must have a record of community engagement, extracurricular activities, social responsibility, and leadership potential
• The international student at Perking University must not pursue any other degree programs while studying at the university

Yenching Academy of Perking University Fully Funded Scholarship Documents Required

Here is a list of the essential documents that a student must present. The documents verify the student profile for the scholarship

• A complete online application form and a personal statement of 750 words or less
• Official transcripts, CV, and a statement of research interest of 1500 words 
• Additionally, a student must submit a diploma/certificate of enrollment and two letters of recommendation 
• International students must show proof of English language proficiency. That is, a minimum overall  score of  IELTS (7), TOEFL (100), CET (600), or TEM  “良好” or above
