Study in Australia: Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship 2023 Open to International Applicants 

The Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship (TGRS) 2023 is available for Masters and PhD students. The scholarships aim to provide a stipend and relocation assistance to international students. The TGRS is available for a duration of 3.5 years for PhD students and 2 years for Masters students. However, the PhD students can receive the scholarship for a maximum duration of 4 years. Interested students can apply for the scholarship before 1st December 2023.  The scholarship is available to students from all disciplines who want to study at Tasmania University.

Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship are as follows:

• The applicant must have enrolled in a full-time master’s or Ph.D. degree program at the University of Tasmania in 2023 
• Moreover, the student must not be receiving any equivalent award, scholarship, or salary to undertake the proposed research program. Here, the equivalent means greater than 75%.
• The applicant who has completed a degree program at a higher level, or has previously received a university-funded/Australian government-funded scholarship is eligible to apply. However, such applicants may not be prioritized.

Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship Benefits 

The benefits of the Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship are as follows:

• A stipend of AUD$31,500 (INR 16.84 lakh) pa, nontaxable is available annually
• Additionally, relocation assistance of AUD$2,000 is provided to the award holders to relocate to Hobart, Launceston or the Cradle Coast 
• Moreover, the allowance also covers one-way travel expenses of the award holder, partner, and any dependent children. However, the relocation assistance can be claimed only after the award holder has been enrolled.

The scholarship beneficiaries are required to commence their studies on the date mentioned in their offer letter. The deadline for the scholarship applicant is 1 December 2023. Interested students can visit the university website to enquire about the same.
