The Visit of the Delegation

In a significant step towards the collaboration delegation of 26 vice chancellors was marked from Indian universities to Spain. 

During their stay from July 7 to July 11, 2024, the Indian delegation engaged in discussions with their Spanish counterparts. The visit included productive meetings at prominent Spanish institutions such as The Autonomous University of Barcelona and the University of Barcelona These interactions were designed to explore avenues for collaboration and to lay the groundwork for future educational exchanges.

The signing ceremony took place at the University of Valladolid, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Spain. Dr. Pankaj Mittal, secretary general of AIU, highlighted the success of the meetings while addressing to the media, noting that numerous Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are on the verge of being finalized. 

These agreements will formalize the collaborative efforts between Indian and Spanish universities, creating structured pathways for joint initiatives.

Welcoming the Delegation

The delegation received a warm welcome in Spain, with the Mayor of Valladolid extending a special reception. This gesture underscored the importance of the partnership and the mutual benefits anticipated from this collaboration. Organising the Visit

The visit was organised by SEPIE, Spain’s national agency responsible for implementing the Erasmus+ program, in collaboration with AIU. On July 10, a notable networking session was held at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. Indian Ambassador to Spain, Dinesh Patnaik, addressed the gathering, celebrating the achievements and potential of the new educational partnership.
