Study Abroad: IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship 2023 is Now Open for International Students

The IKEA Social Entrepreneurship  has collaborated with the One Young World to launch the IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship 2023. The aim of the scholarship is to assist inspiring young social entrepreneurs in attending the One Young World Summit 2023, which will be held in Belfast, UK.

The scholarship beneficiaries would join IKEA’s global delegation taking part in the One Young World Summit 2023. It would provide them the opportunity to connect with sustainability leaders for their projects and world with a global audience. Aside from that, the scholarship beneficiaries would be able to get a permanent membership of the One Young World Ambassador community. 

The IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship 2023 : Eligibility Requirements 

The eligibility criteria of the IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship are as follows 

• Must be an international student  between 18-30 years of age
• Must be a founder or a co-founder of a social business/company
• The business must be operating in Chile, Columbia, Indonesia, Mexico, Poland, or Romania
• Has previously actively engaged in fields of renewable materials, job inclusion, and circularity
• Additionally, the individual must be able to demonstrate leadership skills in his/her community
• Moreover, the applicant must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Demonstrating concern for global or local issues is also a key factor 

The IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship 2023 : Benefits 

The benefits of the IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship are as follows:

• The scholarship beneficiary would be able to attend the One Young World Summit 2023
• The hotel accommodation of the beneficiary would be taken care of. That is, starting from 2- 5 October
• Additionally, the travel expenses to and from Belfast
• Transportation facilities from the summit accommodation to the venue would be provided

The IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship intends to support social entrepreneurs who aspire to work towards a sustainable future by challenging the root causes of poverty, inequality, and exclusion.The scholarship provides the selected individuals with the opportunity to connect with the global audience. The deadline for the  IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship is June 18,2023.
