Some people feel that cities should allow for spaces for graffiti while others feel it should be banned.

Q- Some people feel that cities should allow for spaces for graffiti while others feel it should be banned. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.

Ans- In recent years, there has been a growing debate over whether cities should allow for spaces for graffiti or ban it altogether. While some individuals argue that graffiti is a form of art that should be celebrated and encouraged, others believe it is vandalism and should be prohibited. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of the argument and present my own opinion.

On one hand, supporters of graffiti argue that it is a unique form of expression that should be allowed in cities. They argue that graffiti is a powerful medium for artists to express themselves and communicate their message to a wider audience. In addition, they argue that graffiti can bring color and life to otherwise dull and uninspiring urban landscapes, and can also serve as a form of social commentary on important issues.

On the other hand, opponents of graffiti argue that it is a form of vandalism that should be banned. They argue that graffiti defaces public and private property, which can be costly to clean up. Moreover, they argue that graffiti can also contribute to an atmosphere of lawlessness and can make neighbourhoods feel unsafe and unwelcoming.

In my opinion, while I understand the arguments for both sides, I believe that cities should allow for spaces for graffiti. I believe that graffiti can be a powerful form of art that can enrich our urban landscapes and provide a platform for artists to express themselves. However, I also believe that there should be guidelines and regulations in place to ensure that graffiti is done in a responsible and respectful manner. For example, cities could designate specific areas or buildings for graffiti, where artists can freely create without fear of legal repercussions.

In conclusion, while the debate over graffiti in cities is a complex issue, I believe that allowing spaces for graffiti can be a positive step forward. By providing a platform for artists to express themselves and communicate their message, cities can foster creativity and enrich our urban environments. However, it is also important that guidelines and regulations are in place to ensure that graffiti is done in a responsible and respectful manner.
