Ans: The person I would like to describe is Malala Yousafzai, a global icon for female education. I got to know about her from news reports talking about her brave stand against the Taliban’s prohibiting girls’ education in her native Swat Valley, Pakistan. Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist who, even as a young girl, stood up in favour of education for girls in a region where such statements are met with harsh criticism and opposition. Her advocacy did not go unnoticed as at the tender age of 15, she survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban.
