Q- Describe a house or an apartment you would like to live in.
Ans: My ideal home would be understated in terms of aesthetics and style, as opposed to being flamboyant. My wish is to spend my dotage somewhere secluded from the bustling life of the metropolis. I wish to live my remaining years in solitude, somewhere that feels serene and tranquil.
The house of my dreams would be my quaint little abode to spend the rest of my life in solitude, preferably cascaded amidst lush green mountains. I’d like to spend the rest of my life with only my books to keep me company. I feel like when I grow old, I would love to be somewhere that is dissonant from the cacophony of people, but still not completely cut off from the rest of the world. My ideal home would be elementary in design and not too boisterous or tawdry for my tastes. I’d like to maintain my home understated, expressive, and exquisite. My dream house would not have internet access because I believe it will simply disrupt my equilibrium and bring no value to my peaceful life. However, my ideal home would still be connected to the mainland, allowing me to visit people now and again thus preventing me from succumbing to loneliness.
My ideal home would have a large fireplace, a massive library filled with books from all over the world, and my own study room where I could spend the rest of my golden years reading and writing to my heart’s content. My home will also include a gym and a steam room to help me rest my muscles. I would prefer to live in a house that is not suffocating, but rather airy and ventilated, so that I do not feel confined or caged. It would feature massive windows to let in light and air while also allowing me to gaze out the window at the lovely landscape of the mountains and hills. Since I am an enormous advocate of nature and animals, I would make certain that my pets have their own sheds and stables. They will be my compatriots and my only pals during my time of solitude.
That being said, I don’t want my dream house to be lavish or flamboyant, but rather basic and understated. I’d also like my dream home to be located far enough from the hustle and bustle of daily life and people, but not so far that I lose my touch with human connection entirely. My home would resemble a cabin in the woods that boasts of housing the largest assortment of books in the entire region.
