Detailed Instructions for IELTS Listening Table Completion

All listening sections (1–4) have table completion questions that simply ask you to finish the table by filling in the blanks with the appropriate responses from the listening section. The major themes raised in the chats or monologues are typically covered in the table. The primary themes in sections 3 and 4 are frequently crucial academic notions and facts.

Tips to Remember

  • Read the instructions carefully. If it says ‘NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS AND/OR A NUMBER,’ then follow it exactly.
  • The audio recording and questions follow the same order
  •  Predict the WORD TYPE such as name, number, address or amount of money before listening to the recording.
  • There can be distractors which are words and phrases that may try to mislead you from the correct answer.
  • Do not leave any questions unanswered. Make a guess if necessary.
