Q. Working from home has become more common due to advances in technology. Discuss the pros and cons of working remotely. Would you prefer to work from home or in an office, and why?

Ans: Due to the advancement in technology, working from home is considered a viable option for many people like me.  It offers unparalleled flexibility, which allows people to customise their work schedule according to their commitments, thereby helping people promote a healthy work-life balance. In addition to this, it helps in reducing stress and even contributes to a greener environment by reducing the carbon emissions caused by the vehicles which are needed to physically report to the workplace.

However, telecommuting can lead to feelings of isolation that happen because of a lack of face-to-face interaction. Without the structure and social interaction of a traditional office environment, one may even struggle to stay focused and productive. If I were to choose, I would personally opt for a remote work facility owing to zero travel requirements and ample time that could be saved and utilised for other important activities.
