Q. Describe an art or craft activity you did in school. Talk about when this happened, what you did in the activity, who you did it with, and explain how you felt about this activity.
Ans. One of the memorable art activities that I did in my school was taking up a pottery workshop when I was in tenth grade. This happened during our art week, which was one of the special events that used to be held every year. In this workshop, there was an activity of making clay pots from scratch. We started by learning the basics of kneading the clay so that we could shape it up using a potter’s wheel.
Our teacher guided us through every step, demonstrating how to mould the clay and create different shapes. I worked on this project with my best friend then, and we helped each other when things got tricky. I remember feeling very excited and a bit nervous at first because it was my first time working with clay. As I got the hang of it, I started to enjoy the process. It was so satisfying to see a lump of clay transform into a beautiful pot under my hands. I felt proud of what I had created and appreciated the calm and focus the activity required. This experience made me realise the joy of creating something with my hands.
