Understanding Brown University Financial Aid

Brown University offers several scholarships to its newly admitted students. However, most of their scholarships are meant for U.S nationals or permanent residents. International students are granted limited scholarships. As an international student, you can apply for the following scholarships:

Brown University’s Scholarships for First-Year International Students 

The first year international students at the university are granted merit-based scholarships. This means your overall academic performance, extracurricular activities, etc, would be considered for admission purposes. This is a need-blind scholarship, and financial situation (whether good or bad) is not taken into account. The scholarship amount has not been specified because it varies. The deadline for the application is between November to February.

Winter/Summer Financial Aid

These Brown University scholarships are given to current students at the university. This includes international students.
