About MBM University

The MBM Engineering College, aka MBM University, was established in 1951 in the Indian State of Rajasthan. MBM University offers courses in Engineering and Educational Programs which lead to a degree in Bachelor of Engineering, a Master of Engineering, other Postgraduate courses and a Diploma of Philosophy. In 2011, two new departments were added under the UG of Bachelor in Engineering, which were the Department of Electronics and Communication and the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Initially, this University offered 60 seats to eligible students. 

As of today, this university offers bachelor’s degrees and diploma courses in:

MBM Alumni Scholarships

The MBM Alumni Association offers four categories of scholarships for students pursuing any course at MBM University, Jodhpur. These scholarships are listed below:

Permanent Scholarships

This scholarship will have three sub-categories, which are discussed below:

  1. Merit Scholarships

Any student receiving the scholarships will also become eligible for the other two permanent scholarships, which are ‘Merit-cum Need’ or ‘Need Based’ scholarships. If any student receives two or more scholarships within the same criteria under Merit Scholarships, they will be awarded only one scholarship, the rest will be awarded to others or the next student/s.

  1. Merit-cum Need Scholarships

The Merit-cum Need Scholarships will be awarded to students who have scored at least 60% marks in their previous examinations. Candidates whose annual family income is less than INR 8 lakhs are eligible for the Merit-cum Need Scholarships. ( Candidates must attach proof of their family income issued by the ITR). Candidates who will volunteer for their Department/ University activities will be given preference in the allocation of better scholarship amounts.

  1. Need-Based Scholarships

This scholarship will be awarded to students who have scored a minimum of 55% marks in their previous academic session. Under this scholarship, the minimum constraint eligibility marks shall not be applicable. A candidate whose parents’ annual income is less than INR 5 lakhs can apply for this scholarship. They will have to submit their family income proof issued by the ITR. candidates receiving this scholarship must volunteer in their Departments/ Faculty, otherwise, they may not be considered eligible for that academic year.

  1. Girl Student and Branch-Wise Scholarship

The permanent scholarship will also have a special reservation for the girl students and branch-wise selection criteria. These candidates will be allotted scholarships similar to those based on Merit, Merit-cum Need, and Need-based candidates.

Adhoc Scholarships

These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of Merit, Merit-cum Need, Need-Based, Girl students or Branch/ Year specific. These scholarships are almost similar to the PermanentScholarship, the only difference being the scholarship amount. Under the Adhoc scholarships, candidates will be awarded up to INR 10,000 annually. In order to successfully receive this scholarship amount, candidates must submit proof of their family’s annual income issued by the ITR.

Adoption Scholarships

The Adoption Scholarships are completed need-based scholarships. Students who are already allotted scholarships under this category must submit all the required documents and certificates for continuation. Also, students must submit their mark sheets from the last two semesters. This scholarship will cover students’ tuition fees, academic expenses, accommodation prices and stationary expenses.

Inspire 95 Scholarships

Students who are having extraordinary academic performance and achievements in extra-curricular activities will be considered eligible for the Inspire 95 Scholarships. This scholarship will cover the candidate’s academic expenses, tuition fees and stationary costs. Candidates who fulfil all the required criteria can apply for this scholarship on the official website of MBM University, Jodhpur.

  • All the above-mentioned scholarships are offered to regular students.
  • The Alumni Association may change the amount of any scholarship at its discretion.
  • Candidates applying for any scholarship must submit their documents and achievements it the Alumni office.
  • If any candidate has not registered on the online portal of MBM Alumni, they must do so by visiting the website and clicking on the ‘REGISTER’ button.
