Now, let’s have a look at the sample letters to write a letter to your friend about your school trip.

Sample 1

Dear Akshat,

How are you? I hope all is good at home. I have recently returned from my school trip. It was great and after returning, the first thing I wanted to do, was write a letter to tell you all about my trip. It would have been great if we could meet in person, but since either one of us can’t travel right now, I thought why not write a letter to you?

This trip was a great and different experience. We left in the evening, and by afternoon we reached Manali. There was a sudden drop in temperature as soon as the mountains started. Our place of stay was a resort and it was really beautiful. There was even a site for the bonfire. After resting for a bit, we left the hotel and explored the Mall Road of Manali.

Situated between the mountains, Mall Road with all its colourful elements looked beautiful. It had almost everything ranging from woollen clothes to summer jackets and hats, I bought a Hat for myself and did a lot of shopping for my family too. I bought a shawl for my mom, a pair of gloves for my sister and a pair of goggles for my dad. I have also brought a surprise gift for you as well. I will give it to you the next time we meet.

In the subsequent days, we went to Rohtang Pass and what a sight to behold it was. Fresh snow covers the mountains. Me and my school friends played a lot in the snow. After that, we ate hot maggi and momos which tasted great, especially in the cold weather there. On that night in our resort, a karaoke night was hosted along with a bonfire. All of us sang songs, at snacks in front of the bonfire and enjoyed ourselves.

It definitely was one of the best trips of my life, but I would love to go on a trip with you as well. Hope that we can plan on it as soon as our schedules clear a bit. Give my regards to your parents.

Hoping to see you soon.
Love,
Deepak

Dear Aastha,

I hope you are doing well and all in your family are good too. Yesterday I returned from my school trip to Shimla. It was amazing and as soon as I returned home, I immediately wanted to tell you all about my trip. Since we cannot meet in person because of your science practicals, I thought why not write a letter to you?

This trip was a one-of-a-kind experience. We left for Shimla in the evening and reached there by afternoon. Our stay was at a four-star hotel. The rooms were so beautiful and well-managed. There was even an area for dancing and a bonfire. After resting for a bit, we left for the mall road. There we had our lunch. The food was so tasty.

Thereafter, we explored the mall road. Shimla’s Mall Road is beautiful with all the vibrancy of colours and good vibes of the place. I took aesthetic photographs of the clock tower and the colourful market. In this local market, I splurged into shopping for myself and my family members.

The next day we went to the Famous Hanuman Temple of Shimla the “Jakhu Temple”. The statue there was so huge that we had to get to a proper distance to capture it in a photograph. The temple was very peaceful. And there were a lot of monkeys so we had to take care of our belongings. After that, in the subsequent days, we went sightseeing and the views there were so mesmerising. On our last night in Shimla, a Bonfire along with dancing was organised. We enjoyed sitting in the bonfire, eating snacks, singing songs and then dancing a lot as well.

This trip was definitely one of the best trips of my life. But I want to have a trip with you and our other friends as well. I hope we can plan that as soon as our schedules clear. For now, take care and give my regards to your parents.

Hoping to see you soon.
Love,
Dipti
