History

The Cathedral and John Connon School, established in 1860 by the Anglo-Scottish Education Society in Mumbai, originated as a modest venture initiated by Bishop Harding and the Cathedral Chaplain. 

They set up separate Grammar schools for boys and girls. In 1881, a splendid building was constructed on the Esplanade and named after Mr John Connon, a prominent philanthropist and Chief Registrar of Bombay. 

Today, the school operates in five sections: Pre-Primary, Infant, Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools, providing excellent education to all students. 

The student body, comprising 1,960 boys and girls, is divided into four Houses, each named after the founding fathers.

Eligibility Criteria

• Your child needs to secure a minimum aggregate of 65% in Mathematics in the Std. X School exams over three terms to become qualified for the Accounts. 
• A minimum aggregate of 60% in Mathematics in the Std. XI School exams over three terms is required to become eligible for Economics. 
• A minimum aggregate of 75% in Science and Mathematics in the Std. X School exams over three terms is required to be considered for these subjects
• You need a copy of your Birth Certificate. 
• Clear photocopies of final results of standard IX, X and Preliminary Examinations.

Registration

This is what the admission process for this school looks like: 

• The registration charge for admission is INR 2,000, which has to be paid online.
• For lower first, children can only apply after they have completed one year of age.
• For ICSE (Standard 2nd to 9th), parents have to visit the website www.cjccampuscare.in to complete the admission formalities. 
• For ISC (Standard 11th), the parents have to send the application to the principal after the declaration of the class 10th result. The parents need to mention these details in their application: the child’s name, contact numbers, and the school he/she is studying in.
