NIT Bhubaneswar Application Process

Via JEE Mains Exam
Phase 1: Check the Eligibility Criteria
Firstly, you need to check their eligibility criteria for the NIT admission process as stated by the respective authorities. If you meet the eligibility process for the JEE Main 2024 exam, then only you will be considered for the NIT admission process. You can get a glimpse of the eligibility criteria below.
- A candidate should have cleared class 12 or any equivalent exam within the past two years from the admission year.
- Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying at the admission year, will also be eligible
- You are required to have atleast 75% marks in class 12 or any equivalent exam for the general category. For SC/ ST, the minimum marks required is 65% marks in class 12 or any equivalent exam.
Phase 2: Register Yourself
The application form of the JEE Main 2024 will be released in the online mode. Desired candidates needs to submit the JEE application form before the last date.
Phase 3: Entrance Examination
To get the admission at your desired NIT, you need to clear the JEE Main examination. You need to attempt and clear the JEE Mains computer-based test. Once you clear the exam, you get promoted to the next level.
Phase 4: Counselling Session
The last stage for the admission into your desired NIT is to clear the counselling process, conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). During the counselling process, you will be able to register and choose the college of your choice from the list of NITs available.
Phase 5: Confirmation of Admission
Finally, when you get the desired NIT, you will receive your confirmation seat message. You need to confirm and freeze the seat, and pay the seat acceptance fee.

- Go to the official website of the GATE using Online Admission Processing System (GOAPS).
- Now, complete the registration process by providing your email ID, contact number, and set a password.
- Login to your account and fill the application form.
- Upload all the relevant documents.
- Pay the application fees through the Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card.
- You can also pay the fees through the Demand Draft and e-challan.
- Lastly, just submit the application form.
