IIM MBA Entrance Exam 2023
Candidates who aspire to enrol in IIM’s MBA programmes must take the CAT 2023 Exam. The registration window for the CAT 2023 Exam will remain open between the first week of August and the third week of September 2023. Those who wish to apply for the said exam must do so within the stated timeframe. CAT 2023 exam will be conducted on 26th November 2023. The exam itself will be administered in three slots. Aspirants preparing for the exam must cover topics from sections such as VARC, DILR and Quantitative Aptitude. The total duration of the CAT 2023 Exam will be 120 minutes.
CAT Exam: An Overview
CAT, or the Common Aptitude Test, is a national-level entrance exam which is predominantly administered by the Indian Institute of Management in India to gauge the aptitude and cognitive prowess of individuals who wish to enrol for post-graduation management courses in the top business schools of India. The result for the CAT 2023 Exam conducted during the month of November will be tentatively announced in the initial weeks of January 2024. Candidates who qualify for the CAT exam will be further called for the WAT-GD-PI rounds during the months of February- April 2024. The final admission results will be issued by the end of May 2024. IIM MBA Admission & Selection Criteria 2023
IIM MBA Admission Process is the same for all IIM campuses across the nation. IIMs that have been established after 2010 incorporate a different admission process known as the common admission process called CAP. - MBA aspirants must be holding a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate score of 50% marks from any notable institution.
- Individuals must be holding professional degree certificates such as CA/CS/ICWA with an aggregate of 50 per cent and 45 per cent for general and SC/ST/PWD candidates respectively.
- Graduation marks and percentage obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice followed by the University/Institution from where they have obtained the degree.
- The conversion of CGPA and grades into percentile marks is done adhering to the procedural norms prescribed by the institution of the candidate where he/she acquired their bachelor’s degree.
