About X-GMT Exam

X-GMT is a computer-based test organised by the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar to take admissions in various MBA Programs offered at the university. This Master’s Degree Examination require students to have completed their Graduation in any field with at least 55% marks in the final year. 

X-GMT is conducted in two slots at all the exam centres on the same date and same time. The question papers of the two slots are different but usually have the same difficulty level overall. These exam scores are considered for admission into various programs like the following: 

  1. MBA in Human Resource Management (MBA-HRM)
  2. MBA in Rural Management (MBA-RM)
  3. Master of Management Studies, Business Finance (MMS-BF)
  4. MBA in Business Management (MBA-BM)
  5. MBA in Sustainability Management (MBA-SM)
  6. MBA in Urban Management and Governance (MBA-UMG)
  7. Executive MBA in Business Management (EMBA-BM)

X-GMT Registration Begins

Registrations for X-GMT 2024 began last year in the month of August. The candidates got ample amount of time to check the X-GMT eligibility criteria, apply online, select the test centre, carefully upload their documents, pay the application fee and prepare for the exam. 

X-GMT Registration Last Date

Apart from this, the university also accepts the CAT, GMAT and XAT scores for admission of students to MBA Courses. The procedure for this is different from the X-GMT admission process.

X-GMT Exam Admit Card

The X-GMT Exam Admit Card 2023 was released on 6 February 2024. The Admit Card was made available on the official website of the university and can be downloaded from there. The students appearing for the exam have to bring the downloaded and signed hard copy of the Admit Card to the exam centres to get entry to the exam hall.

X-GMT Exam Date 2024

On the date of the examination, the candidates have to appear in the chosen exam centre. The various exam centres for the X-GMT 2024 were Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi. The rescheduled X-GMT Exam Date 2024 was the 9 of February 2024. 

X-GMT Result 2024

The X-GMT Result 2024 was released on the 12th of February 2024. The result was released on the official website and was accessible through the candidate’s login. The students who qualify for admission are then invited for the interview round.

X-GMT Personal Interview 

After the X-GMT examination results are declared, the candidates are called in for the written ability test, group discussion and a personal interview. The PI round is conducted in the university itself. Another Merit List is released after the interview round. This is the Final Merit List and the candidates in this list are eligible to take admission. 

X-GMT Counselling Dates

The counselling dates are yet to be announced by the XIM and will be updated once notified. The counselling session is for those whose name is on the final merit list. The selected candidates are called by the university to secure their admission by submitting the original documents and paying the course fees.

The X-GMT Exam difficulty level can vary between moderate to difficult depending on the various factors of the exam in that particular year. 

What is the last date to apply for X-GMT 2024?

The last date to apply for the X-GMT Exam 2024 was on the 10th of January 2023. The candidates had a lot of time to apply. The exam deadline was shifted multiple times before the final deadline was decided. 

What is the exam pattern of XGMT 2024?

XGMT 2024 has 4 exam sections with 100-130 MCQ questions in total. The exam has a negative marking of -⅓. The four sections are named Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation & Emotional Quotient, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. 

What is the fee for XGMT 2024?

The application fee for the X-GMT Exam 2024 is INR 1,600. The application fee has to be submitted along with the application form. It is required to submit the fee to complete the application process. 

For those waiting to apply in 2024, the notification will be released tentatively in the month of September 2023. The process of application is completely online and the candidates need to enter their personal and academic details and upload a photograph and signature to proceed.
