UGC NET Application Process 2023: Last Date, How to Apply and Form Link

The UGC NET application for the December session will be released in September and October 2023. The UGC NET application process will start online at the official portal of the National Testing Agency. Candidates need to upload the necessary documents and pay for the application form to successfully complete their application process.

The UGC NET application form for the June 2023 cycle was released on 10th May 2023. The last date to fill out the UGC NET application form for the June session was 31st May 2023. The UGC NET 2023 June session was conducted from the 13th to the 17th of June for Phase I and from the 19th to the 22nd of June for Phase II.

UGC NET Application Dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the UGC NET exam twice a year. Before the commencement of the exam, the conducting body releases the application dates. The UGC NET application process started on 10th May 2023. The application window was closed on 31st May 2023. Candidates can check the table below to understand the UGC NET application dates.

How to Fill Out UGC NET Application Process?

The UGC NET application process starts by registering on the official website of the UGC NET. Candidates interested in appearing for this national-level examination will have to visit the official website of the UGC NET NTA. Candidates can follow the below-given instructions to fill out the UGC NET application form.

• Visit the official website of the UGC NET.
• Under the notification section, look for the UGC NET option and click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.
• Candidates will have to select between the options of ‘Assitant Professor’ or ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ (JRF) or both.
• The application form requires you to enter your personal information, such as name, contact details, education qualification, etc.
• After filling out all the details, candidates will have to upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee.

Documents Required

While filling out the UGC NET application form, candidates need to upload the necessary documents in the required format. The documents required in the application form are as follows.

• Matriculation Certificate (10th Class)
• Intermediate Certificate (10+2 Class)
• Graduation Certificate
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• PwD Certificate (if applicable)
• Candidate’s latest passport-size photograph
• Government-issued ID card (Aadhar card/ Pan card/ Passport/ Driving license)

Application Fee

While filling out the UGC NET application form, all the candidates are required to pay the application fee to successfully complete their UGC NET application process. The UGC NET application fee can only be paid via Paytm/ SBI//Syndicate/HDFC/ICICI gateways (UPI/debit card/credit card/net banking/). The UGC NET application fee is discussed in the table below.
