To be eligible for the Tech Entry Scheme in the Indian Navy, you’ll need to meet the following basic eligibility requirements.
- Age: Unmarried candidates born between 02 January 2005 and 01 July 2007 (Inclusive).
- Education: Passed Senior Secondary Examination 10+2 grade level or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- JEE (Main): Appearing in the JEE (Main) -2023 exam for B.E/B.Tech is mandatory. Selection for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview will be based on your All India Common Rank List (CRL) rank from this examination.
Nationality
Indian citizenship is most likely a requirement for Tech Entry in the Indian Navy. Indian Defence services typically require citizenship for commissioned officer positions.

- 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme: This program allows you to join the Navy and earn a B.Tech degree simultaneously. - Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer: This program recruits graduates for a specific tenure. Initial Screening
The initial screening stage filters applications based on eligibility criteria like age, educational qualifications, and JEE (Main) rank. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirements in these areas will be shortlisted for the next stage, which is the SSB Interview.
SSB Interview (Service Selection Board)

FAQ’s
The Indian Navy published a notice on January 3, 2024, about the 10+2 B. Tech Cadet Entry Scheme 2024. Men and women who are not married and meet the country requirements set by the Government of India can apply online.
Candidates must have passed the upper secondary test (10+2 Pattern) or an exam from any other board that is comparable, with at least 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English, either in Class X or Class XII.
Male and female applicants who are not married and meet the requirements set by the Indian government can apply to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala, for a four-year B. Tech degree program through the 10+2 (B. Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme for Executive & Technical branch.
