Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Junior Hindi Translator (SSC JHT) for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Junior Hindi Translator or Junior Translator in different departments and ministries under the Government of India. The SSC JHT Recruitment 2022 is conducted through two phases- Paper-I is Computer Based Test (CBT) and Paper-II is Descriptive. Separate cut-offs will be released for both stages of selection. The selected candidates will be then recruited under SSC JHT Recruitment 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

The candidate applying for the SSC JHT Recruitment Examination 2022 must meet certain Terms and Conditions set by the official exam conducting body, i.e., Staff Selection Commission:

The candidate must be:

• Citizen of India, or
• Citizen of Nepal, or
• Citizen of Bhutan, or
• Any refugee migrated from Tibet before Jan 1st, 1962, with the mindset of settling permanently in India, or
• Migrated from Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Vietnam, and Zaire to permanently settle in India. 

Age-Limit

The candidate must be more than 18 years of age and not more than 30 years of age at the time of registration. There is age relaxation for various categories in the SSC JHT Recruitment Exam 2022. However, the age limit for General/UR/Open category applicants remains fixed. Refer to the table below for a better understanding.

How to Apply for SSC JHT Recruitment 2022 Examination?

The entire process of registration is online and it comprises two stages:

• Stage I- Registration Process

1. The candidates are required to visit the above-mentioned link.
2. Enter the credentials correctly.
3. After successful completion, the candidates will receive a provisional registration number and a password on their registered Email ID and phone number.  

• Stage II- login to fill up Application Form

1. Log in with the registered number and password and complete the application process.
2. Fill up the personal details, academic qualifications, and communication and permanent address details carefully.
3. Choose the examination centre nearest to you.
4. Upload a scanned copy of your recent passport-size photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression.
5. Read carefully and then accept the terms and conditions.
6. Verify the details entered by you carefully once more before proceeding further with the application fees.
7. After verification, pay the required application fee.
8. After successful payment of the application fee you will receive a copy of a receipt, download it and keep it for later reference. 

Application Fee for SSC JHT 2022

The application fee for the SSC JHT Recruitment Examination 2022 is INR 100 for General/UR/Open Male Applicants and applicants from the other categories and female candidates from any category are exempted from paying the application fee. The application fee payment submission will be done online via Debit card, Credit Card, and NET Banking.

Pattern

The syllabus of the SSC JHT Recruitment Exam 2022 varies for Paper I and Paper II. Both the papers include a variety of topics:

Pattern

SSC JHT Exam consists of two papers- Paper I and Paper II. The SSC JHT Paper I consists of objective-type questions, while Paper II is descriptive. The time allotted for both papers is 2 hours each. Both papers are worth 200 marks. After qualifying for SSC JHT Paper I candidates will be able to appear in SSC JHT Paper II.
