MAH HM CET stands for Maharashtra Hotel Management Common Entrance Test and it will be conducted on 11 March 2024. It is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell every year. It is conducted to select eligible candidates for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (HMCT). The examination is conducted separately for UG and PG courses. The four-year UG HMCT course is commonly known as BHMCT CET, and the two-year PG HMCT course is called MHMCT CET. Based on the marks scored by candidates in the MAH HM CET exam 2024, admission will be granted in all government-aided institutes offering BHMCT CET and MHMCT CET courses and the rest of the non-aided MHMCT institutes.

MAH HM CET 2024 Syllabus
The syllabus for the MAH HM CET exam is prescribed by the examination conducting body. Both the entrance papers- BHMCT and MHMCT will have a different syllabus. While the BHMCT exam will be divided into three sections. MHMCT will be divided into five sections. MAH HM CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for the MAH HM CET exam 2024, there are specific eligibility criteria that a candidate has to meet. The eligibility criteria for BHMCT and MHMCT are different and are discussed in detail below:

MAH HM CET 2024 Application Process
The application form is only available on the official website of the Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell for the admission session 2023-24 for both the BHMCT and MHMCT. The candidates have to visit the website and register themselves. Given below are the instructions for the entire application process.
Step 1: To begin with the registration, enter the details such as name, gender, marital status, etc.
Step 2: As soon as finish entering your details, you will receive an OTP, verify the OTP received.
Step 3: Once the verification through OTP is complete, the candidate will receive an application number. Save it for future reference.
Step 4: Next up, enter your personal details such as the state and city you belong to, your academic qualifications, category details and examination centre preference.
Step 5: Upload the documents as asked in the portal- passport photograph, signature and proof of identity.
Step 6: Once the details are filled up, verify and click on submit.
Step 7: With the same login credentials, log in to your portal, and submit the application fee. After the successful payment of the application fee, download the digital copy of the payment receipt and keep it for later reference.
Application Fee
The candidates are required to pay an application fee to successfully register themselves for the MAH HM CET exam. The amount of the application fee is given below in the table according to course and category. The payment of the application fee can only be made online through a debit card, credit card, and net banking.

MAH HM CET 2024 Admit Card
The admit card for the MAH HM CET exam 2023 will be released online and candidates are advised to download the admit card immediately once available. The admit card is a must while appearing for the entrance test and needs to be carried to the examination centre on the day of the exam. The admit card should be retained till the end of the admission process by the candidate. The candidates also have to carry a valid ID card with them on the day of the examination. However, candidates should note that ration cards and learner’s driving licences will not be accepted as valid ID proof.

MAH HM CET 2024 Preparation Tips
Candidates appearing for the MAH HM CET exam may get overwhelmed with the tips and tricks that are available online. Here are preparation tips which are useful for candidates without overburdening them with loads of tips:
- While preparing for the MAH HM CET exam 2023, candidates should prepare a timetable that focuses on each subject/section, covers the entire syllabus, and enhances their test-taking skills without consuming too much time.
- Candidates must work on their time management skills as the duration of the MAH HM CET for both courses is 60 minutes and 90 minutes respectively and the candidates will have to attempt all the questions within the given time duration. So divide the time judiciously between each section.
- Give each section at least 2 hours a day, add a sample question paper based on the individual sections of the entrance exam and give 15 minutes at least to practise sessions daily.

MAH HM CET 2024 Result
Candidates can check their results on their portal by login in using the credential received at the time of registration. After the declaration of the result, the registration and counselling process shall commence.
MAH HM CET 2024 Selection Process
The MAH HM CET 2023 counselling will be held online where the CET cell organises a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for the smooth conduct of admission. The candidates who will receive their MAH HM CET results must register for CAP counselling online and complete the document submission and verification.
Once done, the final merit list will be released online. In the final merit list, the names of the finally selected candidates are released along with the name of the institute allocated. Usually, two rounds of CAP are held every year. Selected candidates have to complete the admission procedure by reporting to the allotted institute and seeking admission to the allotted seat. However, if a candidate does not show up to the institute for confirmation of the seat for any reason, the competent authority will cancel the admission and forfeit the allotted seat and the seat will be offered to the next candidate waiting on the list.
