IILET 2023: Important Dates, Eligibility, Application, and More

The legal profession is often considered to be one of the last few ‘noble’ professions left in the world. However, the scope and ambit of work of lawyers have exponentially increased over the years. Today, lawyers are an essential part of any business as they help protect organizations against risks. Given the rise in opportunities for lawyers, more and more universities are offering legal courses. Candidates interested in pursuing law can take the Indore Institute of Law Entrance Test (“IILET”). 

The Indore Institute of Law was established in the year 2003 and is recognized by The Bar Council of India. By taking the IILET exam, candidates can enroll themselves in one of the three (3) courses offered by Indore Institute of Law, i.e., BA LLB, BBA LLB, and BBA LLB with Global and Transnational studies. Important Dates for Indore Institute of Law Entrance Test 2023

The relevant dates for the upcoming IILET exam for the year 2023 are yet to be notified. However, based on data accumulated over the years, we have prepared a list of tentative dates below:

Eligibility Criteria for Indore Institute of Law Entrance Test

In order to be eligible for the exam, candidates must fulfill the below-noted criteria. It is pertinent to note that there is a common criterion for all three (3) courses:

BA LLB	Five (5) years	Candidate must have completed Class 12 in any subject from a recognised board with an aggregate score of sixty (60) percent.
BBA LLB	Five (5) years	Candidate must have completed Class 12 in any subject from a recognised board with an aggregate score of sixty (60) percent.
BBA LLB with Global and Transnational Studies	Five (5) years	There is also a relaxation of five (5) percent for those belonging to reservation categories.

Application Process

The application process for the IILET Exam can be conducted online on the official website. While candidates applying for BA LLB and BBA LLB will be directly selected through the IILET Exam, candidates wishing to enroll in the BBA LLB with Global and Transnational Studies program will have to go through additional rounds of a psychometric test as well as a personal interview before selection. 

Breakdown of Seats

The total number of seats available for each course in the Indore Institute of Law is discussed below:-

Further, the total number of seats is further divided based on the following:

• Seventy (70) percent of the seats are filled on the basis of IILET scores.

• Twenty (20) percent of the seats are filled on the basis of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) or Law School Admission Test (LSAT) scores.

• The remaining ten (10) percent are filled through 12th-grade scores of candidates.

Scholarships after the IILET Exam

Candidates who perform exceptionally well in the IILET Exam will be eligible for scholarships. The details of the scholarships are as follows:-
