The National Law University Delhi (NLU) conducts the All India Law Entrance Test which is commonly known as AILET. The exam is conducted for the intake of Law students of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD programmes. The AILET PG exam is for the admission of students to LLM. The test is pen and paper-based mode and is held between 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. 

The AILET PG Answer Key was released officially by the institution on 19th December 2022 and the candidates can still avail of it on the official website. The provisional answer key was released before that and the institute is accepting grievances based on it. The master question paper was published online along with the answer key. The official website has all the relevant links to download these PDFs.

AILET PG Latest Updates

According to the revised schedule, the AILET Exam’s second merit list will be out on January 30, 2023. The exam was conducted on the 11th of December 2022 at the exam centre. The NLU Delhi released the provisional AILET PG Answer Key right after the exam with the PDF of the question paper the detailed answer key was released later. The final answer keys were released based on the discrepancies in the provisional Answer Key. 

Based on the provisional answer key, the candidates were allowed to file discrepancies as of the 12th of December 2022. The portal to address the discrepancies was open from 08:00 pm onwards. The discrepancies on the provisional answer key were only accepted till 14th December 2022. The first merit list is already out and the second list is set to release. The selected candidates will be allotted seats upon confirming admission by the 03rd of February 2023.

AILET PG Answer Key helps the candidates evaluate their answers based on what they have written on the test. For the comfort of candidates, the centre also attaches the question paper to the link with Answer Key. The provisional Answer Key is released first by the centre based on their criteria of evaluation. 

The candidates can then send in discrepancies if they fail to agree with the answers. The answers are then evaluated by the examination body and updated in the final answer key if the discrepancies are found to be genuine. The answer keys are always available on the official website of the conducting body. The NLU-D releases AILET PG Answer Key right after the exam so the answers and paper are fresh in the minds of the candidates and can be assessed properly.   2. Go to the notifications section on the page. 
  3. Look for the Notification of the AILET PG Answer Key.
  4. Click on the link that displays the answer key for AILET PG courses in the 2023 admissions. 
  5. The answer key PDF will open in a new window. 
  6. Go through the PDF and check if it is for the Post Graduation program. 
  7. Download the PDF for AILET PG Answer Key 2023.

AILET PG Answer Key Contents

The Official AILET PG Answer Key 2023 was released on the website of NLU-D. The original answer key comes with the heading of All India Law Entrance Test and the subheading of the program it is addressing, like that of AILET PG comes with ‘LL.M. ADMISSION TEST-2023’. 

The provisional and final answer keys have demarcations for them. The contents in the answer key contain the question number and the correct option in the answer. There are 50 questions denoted by their question numbers and the correct answer is written right across them. As the exam is an MCQ Based evaluation the answers lie between A, B, C, and D. Complete answers are not mentioned in the Answer Key it only contains the option that had the correct answer.

AILET PG Marking Scheme

To calculate a tentative AILET PG Result the candidates need to know the marking scheme of the AILET PG Exam 2023. Through the AILET PG Answer Key the candidates can see if they have answered correctly or not, or in case there are any discrepancies in the Answer Key. 

To calculate their score one needs to know how many marks each correct answer scores and if there is any negative marking in the question pattern. In AILET PG Exam each correct answer is given 1 mark and for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. In this way, the candidates can mark themselves accordingly and arrive at a tentative score for their examination.

How to File Objections in Provisional Answer Key

Before submitting any discrepancies in the answer key the candidates must recheck the following; a) the question number in the master question booklet is the same as that in the answer key. b) The answer key referred belongs to the right course set, for the question paper of LLM the candidate has to make sure they are referring to the answer key of the same exam. 

The discrepancies in Provisional Answer Keys were accepted between 12 December 2022 at 08:00 pm to 14 December 2022 at 11:00 pm. The process to submit the discrepancies is given below. 

  1. Visit the NLU-D Official website.
  2. Log in to the admission portal.
  3. Click on the ‘View Objections’ tab displayed on the portal.
  4. Under the options that are displayed, click on ‘Submit Objection’.
  5. Select the type of discrepancy from; a) Discrepancy in question, b) Discrepancy in Answer Key.
  6. Write the details and mention sources if required in the discrepancy. 
  7. Submit the objection/s and proceed towards the ‘Make Payment’ option. 
  8. The candidates are charged INR 500 for each objection that they submit.
  9. If the objections are found valid by the authority the money deposited is reimbursed to the candidate.

What is the difference between CLAT PG and AILET PG?

CLAT PG Exam is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities for LLM Admissions in 22 NLUs whereas, the AILET PG is conducted by National Law University, Delhi for the admissions in LLMin NLU-D. CLAT PG Offers around 800 seats while AILET PG only offers 70 seats. The CLAT PG is a 2-hour exam and AILET PG is a 1.5-hour test. The syllabus of the exams is different from one another as the AILET PG exam contains some extra sections which also makes it a little more difficult than CLAT PG. 

What is the AILET exam?

AILET is the All India Law Entrance Test organised by National Law University, Delhi for admission of students in LLB, LLM, and PhD courses. The entrance exam is valid for NLU-D and some private institutions.
