Factors Affecting JK SET Cut-Off
JSKET Cut-off is determined to select candidates for the posts of Assistant professors and Lecturers. The cut-off may be estimated based on different factors like;
- Difficulty Level Exam- The difficulty level of the exam determines the cut-off for the results. If the exam for which the candidate is appearing is difficult, the qualifying cut-off set for the results might be less.
- Number of Candidates- Another factor determining the cut-off marks is the number of candidates who are appearing for the exam. There is a proportional relationship between the cut-off and the candidates appearing for the exam. If the candidates are high, then the cut-off will be higher and vice-versa.
- Reservation Policy: According to the JKSET reservation policy, the cut-off marks are generally decided less than for the general category. The general category cut-off is slightly high if there are reserved seats for certain categories.
- Vacancies Available: Another factor is the vacancies available for the post. There is an indirect relationship between the vacancies available and cut-off marks. If the vacancies available are more than the cut-off marks will be high.
