The Geeta Law Admission Test, popularly known as GLAT, is the examination conducted by the Geeta Institute of Law, Panipat for admissions to two courses- BA LLB and BBA LLB. Both of these courses are five-year integrated law courses. 

Geeta Institute of Law is affiliated with Kurukshetra University and is approved by The Bar Council of India. The GLAT examination is conducted on a national level every year. Candidates interested in taking the examination should note that the applications opened on 16th January 2023 and the last date for registration is 14th May 2023. The GLAT examination will be conducted on 20th May 2023.

GLAT Seat Allotment

Geeta Institute of Law has released the seat matrix for the two courses- BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) for the year 2023-24. It is important to reiterate that both courses are for 5 years. The seat matrix for both courses differs from one another and is discussed in the table below:

GLAT Selection Process

Candidates giving the GLAT exam to pursue either BA LLB or BBA LLB are informed that selection for both these courses will be on merit (performance in the GLAT exam) and a personal interview/interaction conducted thereafter.

Documents Required for Personal Interaction

Candidates who do well in the GLAT  exam and make it to the merit list will need to attend a personal interview/interaction. During such interaction, candidates are required to carry certain documents which are listed below:

  • 10th as well as 12th mark sheets (both original and photocopy)
  • Original character certificate
  • Photocopy of Aadhar Card
  • Original migration certificate, if applicable
  • Category and income certificate, if the candidate belongs to a reservation category 
  • 10 passport size photographs

Candidates should note that this information is only applicable for candidates who have made it to the merit list and called for personal interaction or interview.
