Which Metro Stations are Closed for G20 in Delhi?

Considering the need for heightened safety measures, certain metro stations have been temporarily closed. As a result, the entry and exit points of nearly 39 metro stations will remain closed in preparation for the G20 Summit. 

  • All gates of the Supreme Court metro station will remain closed during the G20 Summit which will take place from September 8 to September 10. 
  • Gate numbers 1,2 and 3 of the Khan Market metro station will remain closed, while gate number 4 will operate as the sole entry and exit point. 
  • All gates except for gate number 2 of Kailash Colony metro station will remain open for metro passengers. 
  • Except for gate number 5, all the other entry and exit gates of Lajpat Nagar metro station will remain closed.
  • The Janpath metro station will only operate with gate number 2.
  • Bhikaji Cama Place metro station will also remain temporarily closed during the summit.

What Will be Closed During the G20 Summit?

Apart from metro services, Delhi citizens might also face traffic regulations at certain places during the event. However, the flow of general traffic will remain unaffected outside the NDMC area. Certain exceptions such as that of NH-48 will be made to this. 

Additionally, all educational institutions, offices, restaurants, and malls will be closed from September 8 to September 10. Moreover, Section 144 of the CrPC has been imposed in Delhi to prevent the gathering of four or more people.
