The Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB) will soon release the notification for the recruitment of TT in Indian Railways. This year, the Indian Railways will conduct the Travel Ticket Examiner (TTE) recruitment for a total of 11000 posts. These vacancies for TTE in railways will be distributed at all 19 railway zones in India.

A TTE is a Travelling Ticket Examiner in the Indian Railways. It is among the government jobs with various other benefits and salaries provided as per the government guidelines. Eligibility Criteria for TTE in Railways

1. The Applicant must be an Indian citizen for the job of TTE in the Indian Railways Department.
2. They should have passed the 12th exam with a minimum of 50% marks.

4. The age limit for categories like SC, ST, and OBC has been increased from 2 to 5 years.

Recruitment Process For a TTE in Railways

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the recruitment process for the position of TTE. It involves several stages: a written examination, an interview, and a medical test. The steps for the same are clearly explained below:

Complete the Online Registration

The first step is to register online. You need to visit the official website (RRB website) and check for notifications related to the online registration. Once the notification is released, you can register online by submitting your basic details such as date of birth, contact information, educational qualification, and more. Ensure that you have all the necessary documents for smooth registration.  For example, scanned documents, photographs, and a valid signature.

Online Application Process 

As we have mentioned before, you need to fill in an online application to become a TTE in the Railways. The online application process is as follows. Follow the instructions below to fill in the form when the application commences.

1. All Documents such as Photographs, Certificates, Signatures, etc. Scan and keep them ready.
2. Open the RRB’s official website and RRB centralised employment notice (CEN) for recruitment of in Homepage Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE)
3. Fill in your Basic details like Mother’s Name, Aadhar Number, SSLC/Matric Registration Number, Mobile Number, and email ID.
4. Need attention if you have a Certificate of ITI/NAC If you enter the YEAR of Passing/Registration number of ITI/NAC instead of Matric/Matric SSLC.
5. You will receive an OTP on your Email or Mobile Number, and you need to verify your email and Mobile Number.
6. Fill the application with some important details from you, like Educational Qualification, Gender, Religion, Ex-SM, PwBD, CCAA, Minority, Economically Backwards Class, etc will be asked.
7. Make a payment and save the receipt.
8. Submit the Final Application and print the Application or save it to your computer.

Give the Written Examination

The next step in the recruitment process for TTE in railways is the written examination. Your skills in various areas are tested. The examination consists of the following sections. This is the general format. The exam is held for a total of 200 marks, and you must score above the cutoff set to clear this stage of recruitment.

Clear the Interview

The third stage is the interview. Those who clear the written exam are called for an interview process. During the interview, your communication skills and personality are assessed for the role. You will also get the opportunity to showcase your knowledge of railway operations and your capability for handling a job. Therefore, prepare well for the interview.

Clear the Medical Test

The last stage that you need to clear to become a TTE is to clear the medical test. Medically fit candidates are only considered for the position. A medical test would include a general health checkup, a hearing test, and a vision test.
