The Wilfrid Laurier University is commonly referred to as WL or Laurier. This is one of the public Universities in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. This university is the second home in Brantford and workplace of Kitchener. The name of the university is attributed to the seventh Prime Minister of Canada, Sir Wilfrid Laurier. The university's business school holds the approval of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Also, its social work programmes hold the recognition of the Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE). As per US News and World Report, the university is globally ranked #1271 in 2021 and #1247 in 2022.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
The university has 4 campuses - two huge campuses in Brantford and Waterloo and two smaller campuses in Kitchener and Toronto. The Waterloo campus is known as the main and the biggest campus which consists of Lazaridis School of Business and Economics and the faculties in music, arts, science, graduate studies and education. While the Brantford Campus is home to the faculties of human and social sciences and liberal arts, the Kitchener campus houses the Lyle S. Hallman Faculty of Social Work. The library of the university carries more than 1 million printed items, 68,000 electronic sources, 3,12,000 eBooks, and 2,800 databases. It also includes thousands of media titles that consist of streaming and DVDs.

There are more than 1,00,000 graduate's alumni students who live in over 80 countries. In the alumni list of the university, there are big names such as Brad Katsuyama (Stock Exchange founder), and Sam Schachter (Olympic beach volleyball player). This university also provides accommodation facilities to its students.
